Hi Adam,

You are correct. The LinkedCells beta limits publications to 1,000 cells. We'd love to hear more about how you are using LinkedCells. As you know, we are in beta and always interested in how people plan to use our product.

Can't say I am having a good user-experience with LinkedCells. It appears that there is a max of only 1000 cells that can be shared/published . Unless I am doing something wrong and/or there is such a limitation to size of the .xls it will not be useful to me in its current format. Otherwise I would love it and would be using it.

That is really cool!

It'd be nice if they'd develop a generic API that would allow developers to link any desktop apps (or any MS Office apps) together.

I haven't seen this yet, but I will check it out. They are exactly right, I must say, that it's very hard to get people to stop using spreadsheets. We at LgDb offer a way for people to track pending legislation using a simple, elegant all-online database, and they can share their "Bill Sheet" with anyone online. Still, we have customers who download a CSV file every day and open it in Excel.

Eventually this will fade away, but in the intervening years, this thing has a shot. Too bad it's installed software, though... probably no way around that with M$ Excel.
